Commissioning Engineer

Summary of Functions

The Commissioning Engineer at Altanergy is responsible for the verification, testing, and validation of electromechanical systems in renewable energy and sustainable construction projects. This role is essential to ensure that all installed systems operate according to specifications, safety standards, and client expectations. The Commissioning Engineer will work closely with their (commissioning assistant) responsible for project documentation.

 

 

Key Responsibilities :

 

  1. Preparation and Planning :
    • Analyze plans and technical specifications to prepare commissioning activities.
    • Develop a detailed commissioning plan in coordination with project teams and clients.
    • Identify the resources, tools, and equipment necessary for testing and validation.
  2. System Commissioning :
    • Perform commissioning tests on electromechanical systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, and other equipment specific to Altanergy's projects.
    • Verify the compliance of installations with plans and applicable safety standards.
    • Document test results and compare them with contractual specifications.
  3. Problem Diagnosis and Resolution :
    • Identify and diagnose system malfunctions during commissioning.
    • Propose and implement corrective solutions to ensure proper equipment functioning.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to resolve complex issues and ensure optimal system performance.
  4. Documentation and Reporting :
    • Identify and diagnose system malfunctions during commissioning.

  5. Training and Support :
    • Train operators and end-users on the use of commissioned systems.
    • Provide post-commissioning technical support to ensure users are fully satisfied and systems are functioning correctly.

 

Required Skills :

 

  • Knowledge in electromechanics, with previous experience in commissioning complex systems.
  • Proficiency in safety standards and regulations specific to the renewable energy industry.
  • Excellent skills in diagnosing and solving technical problems.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, with attention to detail.
  • Communication skills to interact effectively with teams and clients.

  • Ensure efficient and safe commissioning of systems, meeting deadlines and technical specifications.
  • Guarantee customer satisfaction by delivering fully functional systems that meet expectations.
